Thirteen Things about Amanda First, a note of apologies that I did not get out there to visit my TT friends last week. Moving is quite the hassle, and takes up quite a bit of time! This week's thirteen is a list of things that Mark and I must accomplish in order to make our new apartment a home. 1. Get the computer set up in the den 2. Set up the TV and cable with Comcast 3. Give Torlulla a new home, too (Tora is our tortoise...have I mentioned her before? If not, I shall dedicate an entire 13 to her in the near future) 4. Hang up pictures of our friends and family 5. Hang up our art work 6. Do the laundry - we still have piles of laundry to do from the old place! 7. Get a little grill for our balcony, and make our first batch of Mandy Burgers (Mandy Burgers are a special blend of ground sirloin, green pepper, onion, and a few other secret ingredients...You've never had a burger like the Mandy Burger) 8. Unpack the rest of our boxes 9. Get all of Mark's guitars and guitar "stuff" from his parent's house so that he can make up a mini-music studio in the den 10. Make our first dinner together in our new kitchen 11. Buy deck chairs so that we can sit out on our balcony and enjoy summer nights 12. Decorate! Part of the fun of a new homes is getting new stuff to decorate the space with 13. Take a night to just sit and relax and enjoy our first home together. Mark and I have lived together for a couple of months, but that was because I moved into his apartment. And, with the move and then going back to work, we haven't yet had the time to just enjoy our brand new home together. Hopefully we can get that sometime soon! Enjoy your Thursday!! |

Wow you sure have your work cut out for you - we moved 3 years ago and I still have some boxes stashed in the basement I did not go through *giggle*

congrats on the new home, its a wonderful life milestone.
We did so much moving when the children were small that we've become quite a dab hand at it. Having said that I don't really enjoy moving house. I much prefer to put down roots and start to collect clutter :)
